Liz Dempsey Doula ("I", "me") is a sole trader providing birth and postpartum doula services in Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula, Australia. I take your privacy seriously, and I handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What I collect
When you send an enquiry through this website, I collect your name, email address, phone number, the service you're interested in, where you're planning to birth, your estimated due date if you choose to share it, and whatever you write in your message. If you become a client, I collect further information needed to support you, which may include health and pregnancy details. Health information is sensitive information, and I only collect it with your consent.
Why I collect it
I use your information to respond to your enquiry, to understand your needs, to provide doula services to you, and to keep in touch about your care. I don't use it for marketing unless you've asked me to, and I never sell it.
Who sees it
Your information is only seen by me. The services I use to run this website and my practice may store it on my behalf:
- Netlify hosts this website and receives enquiry form submissions. Netlify stores data in the United States.
- Calendly handles free call bookings if you book one.
- Google provides my email.
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy. I don't share your information with anyone else unless you ask me to, for example with your midwife or hospital, or where the law requires it.
How I keep it safe
This website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. I keep client information in password-protected accounts and delete enquiry details I no longer need.
Cookies and analytics
This website doesn't use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may record your IP address when the page loads.
Your rights
You can ask me what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email ehjenkins777@gmail.com and I'll respond within a reasonable time. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information and we can't resolve it together, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
